What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Services Coordinator position at Delion Care Services?
Do you enjoy working with numbers, staying organized, and knowing your work makes a real
difference? Delion Care Services is looking for a Financial Services Coordinator to join our
Richmond team and help keep our payroll and financial records running smoothly. This is a part-
time role with steady hours, clear routines, and a team that will support you as you get up to
speed—working behind the scenes to make sure our employees and contractors are paid
accurately and on time, and helping support the people we serve with their personal finances
along the way.
What You’ll Do
- Run Payroll: Process bi-weekly employee payroll through QuickBooks and weekly
contractor pay through our contractor payment workflow. You’ll have established
routines and checklists to follow, with support from HR and agency directors along the
way.
- Keep Clean Records: Maintain organized records for payroll and contractor pay, and
prepare documentation for audits and annual reviews.
- Work with HR and Directors: Partner with our HR team and the directors at each of our
agencies to answer payroll questions, set up new hires and contractors in the system,
and keep information accurate.
- Support the People We Serve (Growing Role): Over time, you’ll help with a small
number of accounts—things like acting as representative payee, coordinating bill
payments, and helping build simple budgets. You’ll be trained and supported in this part
of the role, and it can grow with you if you’re interested.
What You’ll Bring
- Organized and Reliable: You like keeping things tidy and on schedule. You’re the kind
of person who notices a small discrepancy before it becomes a bigger issue.
- Some Payroll or Bookkeeping Experience: You’ve worked with payroll, bookkeeping,
or financial records before and are comfortable with the basics. QuickBooks experience
is a plus.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and openness to picking up new skills and
systems is a big plus—we’ll support you as you grow into the role.
- Good with People: You’ll be working with paychecks and personal finances, so
kindness, professionalism, and discretion matter.
- Comfortable with Technology: Spreadsheets, online banking, and electronic records
feel manageable—not overwhelming.
