Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities at our Wendy’s locations are in optimal working condition to provide our customers with a consistently outstanding dining experience. This includes routine and preventative maintenance of all HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- HVAC Maintenance and Repair
- Conduct regular inspections of the HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, cleaning ducts, and checking system pressures.
- Diagnose and resolve any HVAC system malfunctions.
- Refrigeration Maintenance and Repair
- Ensure all refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers and freezers, are operating at the correct temperatures and are well-maintained.
- Conduct routine checks on refrigeration systems to detect leaks, ensure proper coolant levels, and maintain equipment to prevent failures.
- Address any system malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems.
- Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- General Maintenance Duties
- Address minor electrical, plumbing, and structural issues within the establishment.
- Collaborate with management and staff to address any equipment concerns or operational challenges.
- Keep a detailed record of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Comply with all safety standards and regulations related to equipment maintenance and repair.
- Vendor and Contractor Liaison
- Coordinate with third-party contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that all third-party work is up to the establishment's standards and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to equipment maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
