Job Overview
Seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for restaurant locations in the Virginia Beach market. This role requires a strong technician or facilities leader who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and partnering closely with Operations to ensure efficient and safe restaurant operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
- Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for:
- HVAC systems
- Commercial refrigeration
- Kitchen equipment
- Basic electrical and plumbing systems
- Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
- Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
- Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
- Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
- Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Virginia Beach area.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- QSR or restaurant experience.
- Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, refrigeration).
- Experience using a work order management system.
