Hiring Company: Delicatessen Services Co., LLC Overview: The Environmental Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental compliance programs across the company in multiple states. This role ensures that all operations comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations while promoting continuous improvement in environmental performance. The candidate should be able to work with cross functional teams to meet the corporate sustainability goals to enhance the brand reputation of the company and to create a favorable business environment. Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the Environmental compliance across the enterprise. Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures and best practices aligned with corporate and regulatory standards. Develop, implement and audit the necessary programs to comply with the Local, State and Federal Environmental Protection regulations. Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with EPA and other regulatory bodies. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies for permitting, inspections, and reporting. Lead initiative in waste reduction, water conservation, energy efficiency, and other sustainability efforts. Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics and drive corrective actions as needed. Provide training and guidance to site personnel on environmental compliance and new projects. Support integration of environmental requirements into site operations and new projects. Stay abreast of environmental laws and regulations and advise leadership on potential impacts. Track, analyze, and report key environmental metrics. Partner with plant management to integrate environmental requirements into day-to-day production activities. Lead environmental stewardship efforts in alignment with corporate goals and customer expectations. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred) 7-10 years experience related to environmental compliance with at least 3 years being in a multisite capacity. Excellent communication skills with a proven track record in written communication and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Strong knowledge of corporate responsibility & environmental compliance. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, CERCLA). Strong project management and organization skills. Leadership, networking and influencing skills – with track record of working internally across different business functions and with subject matter experts and subject matter leaders Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel to support sites as needed (50-75% travel). Professional certifications a plus. Experience with regulatory reporting and permit applications (renewals).
