- Prepare and assemble deli foods, including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or sandwiches according to established standards.
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and processing customer orders efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards throughout your shift.
- Assist customers with their food selections, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance their experience.
- Manage food safety practices by following proper handling procedures and ensuring all food is stored correctly.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, supporting quick service delivery during busy hours.
- Providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred; experience with quick service or fast food restaurants is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing sales totals accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Reliable transportation is required to ensure punctuality and consistent availability for shifts.
