Warehouse I

Educations & Qualifications:              Position requires a minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating a forklift.   Fork truck certification preferred; must obtain/maintain fork truck certification.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate and work as a team with employees, supervisors, and incoming/outgoing drivers.  Must be able to operate a computer and pay attention to details.  Shifts are typically 10 hours, Monday-Friday 5 or 6 am- approximately 4pm (or until production ends); Saturdays are required.  Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a non-air conditioned facility.

Summary:              Operate fork truck and machinery (palletizer) in the shipping/receiving section of the warehouse.   Maintain proper stock and inventory levels.  Load and unload trucks.  Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety and sanitation guidelines. 

Essential Functions:

• Safely operate fork truck to transport items/products.
  • Must obtain/maintain fork truck certification. 
  • Follow all safety standards and guidelines; use personal protective equipment as required; sound horns when required; wear safety belts while operating the forklift; travel at a safe speed; be aware of your surroundings.
  • Monitor machine to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machine as needed.
• Must be able to proficiently complete required duties of at least one of the following two warehouse duties: Shipping, Receiving.
  • Shipping or Receiving material.
    • Pick orders; fill orders.
    • Ensure correct inventory levels of products when shipping or receiving.
    • Load outbound trucks and/or rail cars; unload inbound trucks and/or rail cars.
  • Ensure quality and sanitation requirements are maintained. Remove damaged or broken products before shipping.  Follow and complete cleaning chart for palletizer. 
  • Maintain clean, organized, neat and tidy work area. Ensure products are in the proper location.
  • Demonstrate the “Six Keys to Success”; teamwork, communication, respect, help a brother/sister out; accountability, time management and organization.
  • Provide assistance to other warehouse staff when needed.

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
• Report to and from work at assigned time.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Must be honest and reliable.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.  
• Adhere to dress code policy.
