Local Package Pickup & Delivery Driver

Pay: $750–$1,150 per week

Bonus Potential: Up to $5,000 per year

Delco Transport Systems, Inc. is a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground hiring dependable, safety-focused Delivery Drivers to provide pickup and delivery service to residential and commercial customers throughout South King County.

Routes may include Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Ravensdale, Enumclaw, and surrounding areas.

Drivers start and finish each day at the same terminal in the Fife/Tacoma area. There are no overnight routes, and you are home every day.

We are looking for people with a great attitude, strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Washington State driver’s license
• Good driving record
• Ability to safely operate an automatic delivery vehicle
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to approximately 100–150 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors in changing Washington weather conditions
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts

Experience

Candidates with at least 1 year of final-mile package delivery experience serving homes and businesses are strongly encouraged to apply and will be considered strong candidates.

Commercial driving or package delivery experience is helpful, but not required.

We are willing to train the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, safe driving habits, and willingness to learn.

What Your Day Looks Like

You will report to the terminal, check in with the Delco team, inspect your vehicle, review and organize your packages, and head out on your assigned route.

Depending on the route, season, and daily volume, drivers may handle approximately 50–200 packages per day. Peak holiday periods are typically busier.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Residential and commercial pickups and deliveries
• Safely operating an automatic P700- to P1000-style step van or similar delivery vehicle
• Loading, organizing, and unloading packages
• Following assigned routes, pickup commitments, and delivery schedules
• Completing daily vehicle safety inspections
• Communicating delays, delivery exceptions, customer concerns, or vehicle issues
• Returning to the terminal at the end of the route
• Properly handling picked-up and undelivered packages
• Providing professional and respectful customer service
• Following company, FedEx, and DOT safety requirements
• Keeping company vehicles clean and in good condition

Schedules We’re Hiring For

We operate 7 days a week and may have openings for schedules such as:

• Saturday–Wednesday
• Saturday, Sunday 3 weekdays
• Wednesday–Sunday
• Tuesday–Saturday
• Monday–Friday

Part-time opportunities may also be available.

Weekend availability is especially valuable and may provide additional earning opportunities.
