Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction phase of multiple projects from initial concept through contract award.
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate scope of work.
- Collaborate with estimators to develop detailed cost estimates and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, design professionals, and internal teams to ensure feasibility, value engineering, and cost control.
- Develop and manage preconstruction schedules, phasing plans, and logistics.
- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies early in the planning process.
- Participate in subcontractor selection and assist in bid package development.
- Work with the operations team to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of preconstruction activities and decisions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in asphalt and concrete is preferred.
- Proven track record managing the preconstruction process for commercial or civil projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical construction documents and specifications.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
