What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compactor Service Technician position at Delaware Valley Container?
Delaware Valley Container & Equipment is looking for a qualified compactor service technician to help our service division grow.
We are a full-service container shop maintenance company. The Compactor technician/ Welder will assist in maintaining compactors, roll-off containers & trash trucks. This position will have to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems. Technician must have strong knowledge of welding/fabrication.
Upon completion of training program, the technician will be provided with a company service truck to take home.
Job requirements and responsibilities:
- Traveling to various sites for service - Generating daily reports for each service performed
Basic Knowledge in:
-operation of forklifts
-electrical troubleshooting and repair
-hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
-welding and fabrication
- Capable of passing a DOT physical
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record *CDL License is a plus*
- Must be capable of working in a group setting as well as independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
