What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Delaware Speech and Hearing Center?
The Delaware Speech and Hearing Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. We are a nonprofit agency founded in 1959, with offices in Delaware and Powell, Ohio.
The COTA will work in our outpatient clinic providing individual and group therapy services to the pediatric population. This role requires a strong commitment to supporting the well-being, development, and success of children and adolescents. Work location may be split across our two locations.
Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), the COTA will implement treatment plans, provide direct therapy services, and participate in ongoing monitoring of patient progress and response to intervention. Collaboration with the supervising OT is essential to ensure appropriate clinical decision-making and continuity of care. The COTA is also responsible for completing accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio
