- Oversee and manage daily technology operations to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable function of District hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Supervise and evaluate, and support technology personnel, including technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (such as E-rate and licensing), as well as district policies and procedures.
- Develop, manage and monitor the Technology Department's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effective utilization of technology resources; identify funding opportunities and prepare proposals to secure additional resources.
- Oversee the administration and support of the District's Student Information System (Infinite Campus) and Learning Management System (Schoology), ensuring data integrity, accurate state reporting, and the effective delivery of digital instruction.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with schools and district departments, providing timely communication regarding system upgrades or outages.
- Coordinate and implement professional development for staff, including training on software integration and cybersecurity awareness.
- Establish and maintain technology standards, guidelines, and service level agreements (SLAs) for hardware, software, and repairs, ensure consistent, reliable support and maintenance of district-owned equipment.
- Analyze and optimize systems and networks to improve efficiency and minimize costs while maintaining service reliability.
- Investigate and respond to technology-related incidents, including ServiceNow ticket requests, security events, hardware/software failures, and system outages, which may require availability outside normal business hours including weekends.
- Advise district leadership on technology initiatives, infrastructure investments and system-wide upgrades.
- Manage the procurement process for all district technology-related purchases and negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with district policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate technical support for district-wide events and meetings and manage department representation on district committees to ensure technology alignment with district goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the Technology Department and the District.
