Holds high school transcript or equivalency, along with one of the following:
- An associate degree or higher with a GPA of 2.0 or higher from an accredited institution, OR
- Sixty college credits from an accredited institution, OR
- A score of 459 or higher on the ParaPro Test
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Preferred: Experience supporting students with social emotional and/or behavioral needs

Posting Description: Instructional Paraeducator
Newark Charter School is seeking a dynamic, dedicated individual to join our Primary School team as a paraeducator. The paraeducator provides instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students in both general education and specialized learning environments, depending on school needs. Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff, the paraeducator assists with whole-group, small-group, and individualized instruction, reinforces academic and social skills, promotes student engagement and independence, and helps maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment. Experience working with elementary-aged students is required, and experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities, is preferred. Additional responsibilities include supporting student safety, fostering positive behavior, and performing other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: 10 Month Position
Salary: Commensurate with degree level and experience
