Position Overview :
The Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting students with disabilities by providing expert knowledge and services related to assistive technology tools and devices. This position involves evaluating students' needs, recommending appropriate technology, training staff, and collaborating with families to ensure effective use of AT to enhance educational opportunities and promote student independence.
Key Responsibilities :
Assessment & Evaluation :
- Conduct assessments of students' functional abilities and learning needs to identify appropriate assistive technology tools and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other service providers to determine students' AT needs and assist in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Ensure that all recommendations align with students' academic, communication, and physical needs.

Education :
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Educational Technology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
