What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Delaware Park Casino & Racing?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to safely operate: front end loader, tractor, and fork lift, in accordance with all applicable OSHA Regulations.
- Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and service.
- Operate small dump truck.
- Work without direct supervision.
- Operate all equipment according to manufacturers’ printed material.
- Use sound judgment when using equipment around horses.
- Maintain constant surveillance of the grounds for safety concerns.
- Report all maintenance repairs immediately to supervisor.
- Responsible to read and understand all safety rules for each piece of equipment.
- Attends all safety and/ or OSHA training sessions as required.
- Assist with all duties associated with snow removal.
- Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Previous OSHA Certified Forklift Training a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in extremes of weather.
- Must be able to remain highly flexible in an environment of constant change.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays.
