Head Start Classroom Aide - Davenport

Delaware Opportunities Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide for our Davenport, NY Head Start center. This position will assist staff with daily activities in the Head Start classroom and work side by side with classroom Teacher, Teacher Assistant and other staff in a high energy classroom with 3, 4 and 5 year old's.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist the Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities;
• Support children throughout daily routines, including meals, learning activities, and transitions;
• Observe and document children's development as assigned;
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and outdoor environment;
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all program policies, including mandated reporter requirements;
• Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development activities;

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with course work in child development, elementary, or special education;
• 1-year experience working with preschool children preferred

Schedule & Pay:

• 35 hours/week. Summer's off!
• Monday - Friday
• Pay range: $16.54 - $$19.70
