The opportunity
Delaware North Boston Holdings is hiring a full-time Director, Business Intelligence and Analytics to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will oversee two critical business functions: Business Intelligence – responsible for converting data into tools, insights, reports, analytics – and Data Strategy – responsible for the core technologies (e.g. CRM, data warehouse, engineering architecture), integrations, platforms that power our business, leading and scaling both functions through an ongoing period of transformation.
This leader will oversee a combined group that spans BI analysts, data engineers, CRM specialists, and technical analysts. The Director will be responsible for setting the vision, priorities, and standards for the department while ensuring both verticals are tightly aligned to enterprise objectives around revenue optimization, fan engagement, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who bridges the gap between technical depth and business acumen. They will translate senior Leadership’s strategic vision into executable roadmaps, champion a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization, and serve as the primary point of escalation and cross-functional coordination for all data and analytics initiatives. This individual will be highly visible, working directly with senior stakeholders across Ticketing, Premium, Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Digital, Finance, and Operations to embed data into every facet of how the business operates and grows.

Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $119,500 – $161,300 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do?
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP & TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Lead, mentor, and develop two Senior Managers and their teams across the Business Intelligence and Data Strategy & Integrations verticals, establishing clear goals, priorities, and professional development plans
- Translate the VP’s enterprise-wide data and digital transformation vision into actionable departmental roadmaps, OKRs, and execution plans
- Set and enforce standards for quality, rigor, and consistency across all analytical outputs, data products, and technical deliverables
- Build team capacity and organizational structure to scale with business growth, including workforce planning, hiring, and role definition
- Serve as the department’s primary escalation point and decision-maker for cross-functional issues, resource conflicts, and stakeholder concerns
BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & ANALYTICS OVERSIGHT
- Oversee the creation and optimization of dashboards, KPI frameworks, pricing models, and analytical tools that empower Ticketing, Premium, Partnerships, and other revenue-driving departments
- Ensure the BI team delivers digestible, defensible, and actionable reporting that informs executive decision-making on a daily, monthly, and seasonal cadence
- Guide the development of real-time pricing recommendations, revenue forecasting models, and inventory management strategies for key products (tickets, partnership assets, parking, etc.)
- Champion evidence-based decision-making across the organization by making data accessible, understandable, and integrated into business workflows
DATA STRATEGY, ARCHITECTURE & INTEGRATIONS OVERSIGHT
- Own the enterprise-level customer data strategy, including architecture, governance, integration, and long-term scalability aligned to organizational goals
- Oversee the management, optimization, and integration of core platforms including Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud), data warehouse (KORE / equivalent), ticketing systems, and all associated ETL pipelines
- Drive progress toward a unified “Golden Record” for customers/fans, ensuring accuracy, identity resolution, and completeness across all data systems
- Lead the roadmap for AI/ML capabilities including predictive modeling, personalization, churn prediction, and generative AI applications to unlock business value
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIP & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Serve as the senior data and analytics liaison to department heads across TD Garden and the Boston Bruins, building trusted advisory relationships that drive adoption and alignment
- Partner with Ticketing, Premium, Partnerships, Marketing, Digital, and Guest Relations to embed data-driven workflows across the full customer lifecycle
- Collaborate with the VP on executive-level reporting, board presentations, proformas, and strategic investment evaluations
- Coordinate with Delaware North corporate IT and enterprise data teams to ensure alignment on infrastructure, security, and governance standards
- Act as a senior stakeholder liaison: engage with senior leadership, business unit heads, and external partners/ vendors to align data strategy with organizational priorities and growth plans
- Support broader business initiatives — leveraging data/analytics as needed for ad-hoc strategic projects, M&A diligence, new revenue streams, or special events
More about you
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related analytical field; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred

8 – 10 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data strategy, or related functions, with at least 3–4 years in a people management role overseeing multiple teams or verticals
- Experience in the sports, entertainment, or live events industry strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of both the BI/analytics and data engineering/architecture disciplines, with the ability to provide technical guidance and quality oversight across both
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce ecosystem strongly preferred), marketing automation tools, ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster Archtics), and data integration technologies
- Familiarity with data warehouse platforms (e.g., KORE, Snowflake), ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern cloud data ecosystems
- Hands-on comfort with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and proficiency in SQL; experience with Python, R, or similar is a plus
- Experience applying or overseeing advanced initiatives (predictive modeling, personalization, dynamic segmentation) in a business context
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business terms for executive and non-technical audiences
- Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated success partnering across revenue, sales, marketing, operations, and technology teams
- Experience with data governance, privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and building scalable data practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort presenting to senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders
- Highly organized, resourceful, and disciplined, with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- Comfort managing sensitive and confidential business information with discretion
