DELREC’s mission is to increase diversity in Delaware’s Bench, Bar and Legal Community by increasing knowledge of the law and removing barriers to careers in the justice system. We provide active learning experiences and skills development for students who need to function in a society based on the rule of law by:
1. Fostering a greater understanding of the law and judicial branch among students in Delaware schools;
2. Encouraging and supporting participation of students in Delaware in law related education;
3. Providing access to students in Delaware to information about careers in the legal and public service sectors; and
4. Supporting access to DELREC’s programs and fostering interest in legal and civics careers.
We implement programs inside and outside of the classroom, from kindergarten through law school and every step in between. In addition, we write curricula for teachers that meet Delaware’s civic standards and foster long-term relationships between law firms and local schools. Finally, we facilitate first generation law student, college, and high school events and cultivate an inclusive legal community.
Job Description: As a School Program Manager, you will oversee our school workshops and our partnerships between schools and law firms. For DELREC, new business comes in the form of partnerships. You will be responsible for maintaining, coordinating, and shepherding relationships with Delaware’s schools, students, and law firms. This involves meetings in person and on zoom, coordination of school visits, communicating with attorneys and schools, and following up with surveys and evaluations. You will model and reinforce DELREC’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and represent DELREC internally and externally. You will coordinate daily logistics as necessary and ensure that each relationship is functioning beneficially for all involved. You will be facilitating lessons from Kindergarten to 12th grade, so teaching experience is highly preferred. For this position, we are seeking someone fluent in both Spanish and English languages.
Responsibilities include:
· Coordinate and communicate school visits with attorneys and schools and create sign-ups online for school workshops;
· Lead student workshops at various schools to ensure successful implementation;
· Participate in weekly check-ins with DELREC’s Executive Director, setting goals and timelines and report out on progress;
· Maintain metric data and track performance of workshops;
· Cultivate new business relationships with Delaware schools in all three counties; communicate about DELREC’s programming and connect new potential partnerships with DELREC’s Executive Director;
· Track and maintain information on schools, attorneys, teachers, and students;
· Create, distribute, analyze and summarize workshop and program evaluations;
· Meet with attorneys prior to school visits to model workshops and expectations;
· Ensure excellence of programmatic operations, communicating with school personnel;
· Ensure that all workshops have the supplies they need for success.

You are organized, a good communicator, responsive, inclusive, warm, and supportive to youth of all backgrounds. You are proactive, reflective, and purpose driven. You have a college degree and experience as an educator working with children and ideally in program management.

· Organized and responsible;
· Must be able to transport yourself to multiple schools throughout the state;
· Adept at utilizing technology, in particular Zoom, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite;
· Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize effectively;
· Extremely good judgment, integrity and sense of responsibility;
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills;
· Must be passionate about social change, and driven to support children;
· College degree required; master’s degree in education preferred.
· Multi-language/fluency in Spanish language highly preferred.
