What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer position at Delaware Engineering, DPC?

This Design position will receive operational supervision and technical guidance from a supervising designer and/or engineering supervisor.
Position Profile
- Generates 2-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) plant layouts and drawings with minimal guidance from others.
- Knowledge of Revit and Plant3D is highly desirable.
- Works independently in the preparation of CAD design models under the supervision of experienced designers and engineers
- Prepares bulk material quantity takeoffs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline
- Reviews design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned
- Ability to answers questions from client or construction group on design for assigned responsibility
- Compiles, maintains and accesses job drawing files, records, and drawing controls
- Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- AutoCAD Certification or Associates Degree in an engineering related field.
- Preferred up to 3 years of experience as a professional
- Proficiency in CAD
- Knowledge of Revit and Plant3D is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant design standards and guides
- Demonstrated skill in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups
- Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to the disciplines’ design responsibility
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline.
- General knowledge of the technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort
- Able to work in a team and cross-functional environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
