Experienced Mechanic / Industrial Mechanic
Delaware Electric Inc. is looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our growing team. We repair electric motors, pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment for Industry, Manufacturing, Commercial & Institutions.
This is a hands-on position for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys diagnosing problems, rebuilding equipment, and seeing a repair through from start to finish. Shop and field work are both part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine repair solutions.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild electric motors, pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
- Install bearings, seals, shafts, and couplings using proper fits and tolerances.
- Read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns.
- Operate manual shop equipment, including lathes, presses, and hydraulic tools.
- Perform equipment installation and removal at customer facilities.
- Communicate with customers regarding repairs and replacement options.
- Assist with repair estimates and documentation.
Qualifications

- Automotive Technician with engine or transmission rebuilding experience

Requirements

- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
