What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector/Machine Operator position at Delaware Dynamics?
Ability to program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and/or 3D Laser Scanner (GOM) and other precision equipment to inspect and review accuracy and quality of various details and parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CMM using PcDMIS
- Program and operate GOM using ATOS
- Analyze and interpret blueprint drawings, data and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas and measuring instruments required.
- Inspects and reviews details and parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications. Records these findings by marking print and/or part.
- Rejects products, materials and equipment not meeting specifications by marking print or part.
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
- Record inspection or test data and quantities inspected.
- Operate a crane.
- May be asked to operate multiple inspection machines as needed.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations.
Position Requirement:
- High School or G.E.D. diploma.
- 1-3 years prior CMM inspecting and/or laser scanner experience preferred.
Skill/Knowledge:
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the company.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and part prints.
- PC knowledge
- Good math skills.
- Knowledge of Assembly.
- Safety conscious.
