Qualifications for this position are as follows:
High School diploma or GED plus two years computer support experience or College Degree;
Thorough knowledge of basic hardware and software systems;
Efficient and effective problem-solving and analytical skills;
Exceptional client service skills;
Thorough knowledge of all Windows platforms; and
Experience supporting M.S. Office products;
Experience with Microsoft 365 preferred
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Provides technical support to all county employees and agencies;
Configures and installs new computer hardware and peripherals;
Assists the Network Administrator in establishing new user and e-mail accounts;
Maintains contacts with primary vendors and monitors vendors for current price points;
Mitigates and remediates security vulnerabilities;
Operates cabling scanner and metering equipment to trace network related problems;
Prepares and maintains documentation of daily procedures and activities;
Works independently with minimum supervision.
Serves as the primary contact for calls made to the Help Desk.
Provides training to employees as needed for various enterprise applications; and
Provides other duties as required
