What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Education Instructors position at Delaware County Community College?
Position Summary
The Office of Community Education is in need of certified teachers with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree with experience in teaching/training our adult population in the evening Monday through Thursday between the hours of 6 p and 10 p. Few classes are scheduled for Saturdays.
Essential Functions
Art Instructors: Artist with talents in Acrylic Painting, Watercolor, and Drawing $25/hour for 16-20 hour courses each semester – noncredit.
Wellness and Creative Arts Instructors: Those with talents in wellness area/s of health and well–being $25/hour for 10-20 hour courses each semester – noncredit.
ESL Instructors: Bachelor's Degree required. $35/hour 40-45 hour courses each semester – noncredit.
SAT Verbal and/or Math Instructor: Bachelor's Degree preferably in education and experience in college test preparation. $25/hour - 9 to 18 hours – noncredit.
Tai Chi - $25/hr
Mindfulness & Meditation - $25/hr
Yoga - $25/hr
