What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper School History Faculty position at Delaware County Christian School?
Delaware County Christian School is currently accepting applications for an Upper School History Faculty position. This role will begin in August 2026. We are seeking a teacher who feels a calling to teach in a Christian school, has a Bachelor's degree (or higher) and is comfortable working in professional learning teams focused on student learning in a culture of continuous improvement.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Willingness to continue professional development through seminars and conferences made available
- Prefer 3 years experience
- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and solid understanding of the Word of God. There should be evidence of a godly lifestyle based on this commitment to Jesus Christ
- Deep understanding of, with a strong ability to articulate, a Christian philosophy of education
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated commitment to servant leadership and collaboration
- Ability to maintain a high energy level while managing a variety of tasks and projects
- Ability and desire to coach or lead extracurricular activities is strongly preferred
