Job Description:
The successful teacher candidate will coordinate the beginning band program primarily with beginning band students in grades 6 but will also assist the other Middle School and High School bands.
The Delaware Hayes Band program has a long and proud tradition of music excellence. The band program in Delaware City Schools begins with our sixth graders in our middle school. As students progress musically, jazz band options become available in 7th and 8th grade and in the high school. By the time they reach high school they are able to participate in the The Delaware Hayes Grand Pacer Marching Band, concert band and symphonic bands.
The teaching position begins August 17, 2026, however marching band camp will be held during the Summer prior to school starting.
