JOB DESCRIPTION
We invite you to come join our dynamic practice as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist. This is a full-time opportunity located in Lewes, DE. We are currently searching for an experienced registered sonographer. DCMFM is an AIUM accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice providing services in both a hospital and private office settings.
The high risk OB Sonographer has a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic fetal ultrasounds, fetal echocardiography and GYN ultrasound scans. The diagnostic OB Sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide a comprehensive examination in an outpatient setting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a certified program in Ultrasonography.
- Significant experience in OB/GYN scanning.
- Fetal echocardiography experience preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in daily situations.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Satisfactory completion of at least two (2) years in Allied Health Education.
- Maintain or eligible for registry certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). ARDMS registry must be obtained within first year of employment.
- Provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
