Ultrasound Technologist

JOB DESCRIPTION

We invite you to come join our dynamic practice as an Ultrasound Technologist. This full time career opportunity has a Monday through Friday schedule and is located in Newark, DE. We are currently searching for ARDMS OB/GYN sonographer or registry eligible sonographers. DCMFM provides a unique experience with on the job training in the specialty of maternal-fetal medicine. DCMFM is an AIUM accredited maternal-fetal medicine practice providing services in both a hospital and private office settings.

The high risk OB sonographer has a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic fetal, fetal echocardiography and GYN ultrasound scans. The diagnostic OB sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide a comprehensive examination.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a certified program in Ultrasonography.
• Experience in OB/GYN scanning.
• Fetal echocardiography experience preferred but not necessary.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in daily situations.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Satisfactory completion of at least two (2) years in Allied Health Education.
• Maintain or eligible for registry certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). ARDMS registry must be obtained within first year of employment.
• Provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
