Role Description
The Legal Assistant role at Delaney & Fritz, P.C. is a full-time, on-site position located in Indiana, PA. The Legal Assistant will provide critical support to the attorneys by preparing legal documents, preparing calculations, documents and files for real estate closings, organizing case files, conducting client communications, and managing administrative tasks, including decedents estates. Responsibilities include accounting, invoicing and paying bills, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, reception of clients, ordering supplies, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring the seamless operation of daily legal functions.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of legal principles, with experience in Law and Legal Document Preparation.
- Excellent Communication skills, including client interaction and coordination with staff.
- Proficiency in Administrative Assistance, including scheduling, organization, and maintaining case files.
- Strong time management skills.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- Prior experience with Estate Administration and Real Estate Transactions strongly preferred
- Prior office accounting experience required
- Prior law firm experience required
- PA Notary license preferred
- Familiarity with Clio or similar law office management software a plus
- Familiarity with Qualia or similar real estate settlement software a plus
