What are the responsibilities and job description for the ABA Tutor position at Delaney Elementary School?
The Delaney Elementary School has an opening for an ABA tutor OR an instructional/behavioral paraprofessional in our elementary Individualized Learning Center Program.
Under the supervision and direction of the special education teacher, the ABA tutor or instructional/behavioral paraprofessional will:
- Provide direct support of students within an ABA-based program - either 1:1 or shared between 2-3 students if appropriate.
- Facilitate inclusion support and assist students with accessing general education curriculum as appropriate
- Implement behavioral, social and academic programs per student IEPs
- Collect data, assist in creating graphs, data sheets, materials, visual supports, and activity schedules as needed
- Assist in maintaining a consistent, structured, positive learning environment
- Establish appropriate, respectful rapport with students, and maintain student confidentiality
- Demonstrate empathy, respect, and understanding of individual learning differences and diversity
- Provide accommodations, modifications, and strategies to improve student behavior and learning as indicated on their IEPsBe
Consultation and on-going training will be provided by a special education teacher and/or BCBA.
This is a salaried school year position (6.75 hours paid per day) for 181 school days. Additional compensation for a 5 week summer program is also available.
Salary Range: $22.50-$26.50/hour (based on experience)
