Tractor Trailer Unloader / Warehouseman
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Saturdays and overtime as needed
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Tractor Trailer Unloader / Warehouseman to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for safely unloading inbound tractor trailers containing pasta and other food products, accurately handling inventory, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food distribution environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently unload inbound tractor trailers.
- Accurately palletize, stack, and organize product.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies.
- Move products to designated storage locations using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment using the Vocollect (voice-activated) picking system.
- Label and prepare pallets for shipment.
- Assist with loading outbound trailers as needed.
- Support facility cleanliness and assist other departments when required.
- Follow all food safety, quality, and warehouse procedures.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, GMPs, and OSHA requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, order picking, or unloading experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified preferred.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and team lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as business needs require.
Requirements
- Must wear company-issued uniforms and steel-toed safety shoes.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background check requirements.
- Must be willing to work in an environment where exposure to allergens may occur, including but not limited to gluten, cheese, tree nuts (including pine nuts), dairy products, and other food ingredients.
