Description:
Delaco Steel, a leading provider of warehousing and local transport services for the automotive industry, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team at Delaco Integrated Terminals in Woodhaven, MI.
Position Summary:
The primary emphasis of this role is the distribution of material and control of inventory, ensuring accurate documentation, safe storage, and efficient movement of materials.
Main Responsibilities:
- Scanning or entering material information upon receipt or shipping to ensure complete and accurate inventory records.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, completing end-of-shift protocols, and ensuring effective communication.
- Verifying that all materials match paperwork and are properly tagged.
- Documenting necessary information upon shipping or receiving of materials.
- Transferring materials onto customer-owned pallets.
- Assisting with coil placement on trailers and securing them down.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to quality work, identifying improvements, and implementing changes.
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including handling average-weight objects up to 50 pounds, standing/sitting, or walking for more than eight hours per day.
Education:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required. All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test.
