About the Role

Reporting directly to one of our Partners, this role serves as the operational backbone of a busy family law practice. This position is centered on high-volume inbox management, calendar ownership, and quarterbacking workflow across the team. Our Partners are operators who remain deeply focused on client work. Your role is to create leverage around them by ensuring communication is triaged appropriately, priorities are clear, and follow-through happens consistently. You will support a seven-person team consisting of one Partner, four attorneys, and two paralegals. On a typical day, the inbox may receive hundreds of emails from clients, experts, opposing counsel, and internal team members. Most communications ultimately need to be routed to attorneys and paralegals, and your judgment will be critical in ensuring nothing important slips through the cracks. This is a fast-paced role that rewards someone who thinks ahead, sees around corners, and is comfortable making judgment calls.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Partner’s high-volume inbox, including triage, routing, and follow-up
  • Owning calendar management and protecting the Partner’s time
  • Acting as the central communication hub for the team
  • Tracking tasks and following up to ensure work is completed and closed out
  • Looping in the appropriate attorneys and paralegals as matters evolve
  • Preparing the Partner for upcoming meetings, deadlines, and priorities
  • Assisting with special projects and workflow improvements as directed

Qualifications

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role

Required Skills

  • Is exceptionally strong at managing high-volume email and competing priorities
  • Exercises sound judgment and knows how to distinguish mission-critical issues from items that can wait
  • Is comfortable supporting a fast-moving executive
  • Is persistent and professional in following up to ensure tasks are completed
  • Excels at facilitating communication between stakeholders and keeping teams on task
  • Anticipates needs and proactively solves problems before they escalate
  • Maintains excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment with continuous evolution of responsibilities

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a monthly wellness stipend, commuter benefits, retirement benefits, profit sharing, firm-paid life, disability insurance, paid time off and more.

If you are excited by the opportunity to support a high-performing Partner and play a central role in a fast-moving practice, we would love to hear from you.
