Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Family Support Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for families navigating complex challenges related to child welfare, behavioral health, and the Louisiana Early Intervention System. Your energetic approach will empower families to access resources, develop resilience, and achieve positive outcomes via Early Steps. You will coordinate services, provide resource advocacy and foster a supportive environment that promotes stability and well-being for children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between families, social service agencies, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support.
- Conduct quarterly in-home visits to ensure service needs are met.
- Develop individualized plans that address identified needs and services.
- Maintain detailed documentation of case progress, service plans in compliance with agency standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in social work, child protective services, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
