Entry Level CAD Draftsman

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and entry-level CAD Draftsman to join our team. In this role, you will utilize advanced CAD software to develop, modify, and finalize structural designs, ensuring they align with engineering specifications and project requirements. As a CAD Draftsman, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to produce accurate and compliant design drawings for a variety of precast concrete products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting: Create detailed structural designs and technical drawings using CAD software, including AutoCAD 2021 and Titan 3000, to meet project specifications.
• Interpretation of Plans: Analyze and interpret civil engineering plans, technical specifications, and industry standards to ensure accurate and feasible designs.
• Design Revisions: Modify and update designs based on project revisions, feedback, and evolving requirements.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure all designs adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Project Documentation: Maintain and manage project documentation, including revisions and drawings, using the Titan 3000 Precast Management System.
• Industry-Specific Expertise: Apply knowledge of Del Zotto Products of Florida's capabilities and limitations to guide design solutions for precast concrete products.
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any design or drafting-related issues to ensure smooth project progression and delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

• CAD Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD software (e.g., Titan 3000).
• Industry Experience: Proven experience in drafting for the precast concrete industry, including stormwater drainage systems, and underground sewer and water utilities.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards, and construction techniques.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to create precise, complex, and detailed technical drawings while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and contractors.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents and blueprints.
• Mathematical & Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for performing calculations and using engineering principles to solve design challenges.
• Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills.
• Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools for document management and communication.
