Job Summary And Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Bariatric Dietitian Coordinator; Supports the dietitian coordinator in all aspects of the pre and postoperative diet plan for all bariatric patients and assist in the coordination of the physician weight management program. Assist the dietitian coordinator in facilitating the monthly support group meetings. Monthly travel to NM for dietary postoperative follow-up as needed.
POPULATION SERVED:
Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Morbid obese adult with all co-morbid illness/conditions, including but not limited to: Cardiac/cardiovascular, metabolic, renal, pulmonary, etc.

- Supports the dietitian coordinator in the Medical Nutrition Therapy for Bariatric Center patients throughout the Continuum of Care.
- Assist in the coordination of monthly pre and postoperative support groups.
- Responsible for promoting positive nutrition outcomes to support/maintain Centers of Excellence status.
- Manages positive patient outcomes of patients with complex medical conditions. Provides written documentation
- (PCM and Out-Patient Medical Records) and verbal communication appropriately and in a timely manner, as defined by Clinical Nutrition and Bariatric Center Departmental policies.
