Utility / Mixer

The primary responsibility of Utility/Mixer position is to help Mixers and provide ingredients throughout the day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Stock ingredients in designated areas
• Prepares ingredients for the following day
• Makes sure all barrels are cleaned before entering the mixing room
• Helps mixers with the mixing process. Weighs ingredients, operates mixer, cuts onions, etc.
• Maintains cleanliness of ceilings and walls
• Disassembles, reassembles, and sanitizes mixing tank
• Disassembles, reassembles, sanitizes, and cleans pumps that are used in the mixing process
• Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles sugar line
• Takes trash and cardboard out of mixing room
• Fills 64 oz containers with CIP solution for holding tanks and fillers for evening cleaning at the end of the day. Performs CIP on holding tank and disassembles holding tank pump. Drains holding tank on the next workday.
• Foams and rinses the mixing room and the cheese prep area weekly or as often as needed
• Documents temperature of cooler, freezers, and honey warmers. Alerts Maintenance if temperatures are not consistent
• Ensures that all allergens are labeled accordingly
• Helps train new employees
• Helps with scrubbing and hosing down the floors weekly
• Cleans ingredient area in the Warehouse. Sweeps and mops as needed
• Sweeps and mops cooler inside mixing room
• Cleans pallet jack used for mixing room
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: No experience required

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to work and communicate effectively with team members.

· Must have consistent, reliable transportation.

· Displays a positive attitude and be trainable.

· Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• This position reports directly to the Mixing Supervisor.
• This position works very closely with all team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The working environment is a clean, climate-controlled, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, but may require some outside maintenance as needed. Must be able to pass a drug screen as well as a criminal background check.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk up and down steps, lift, bend, and stretch. Must be able to lift 55 pounds. This job requires the employee to be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
