Position Summary
Del’s Appliance Heating & Cooling is seeking a skilled and dependable Appliance Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of residential appliances. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while representing our company with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair household appliances including washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and more
- Accurately identify issues and recommend effective solutions
- Complete service calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs to customers clearly
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed, parts used, and customer signatures
- Ensure company vehicle is stocked, clean, and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Collect payments when necessary and verify accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous appliance repair experience preferred (or strong mechanical aptitude)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- EPA certification
- HVAC knowledge or experience
- Experience with sealed systems or refrigeration
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing
- Ability to work in various home environments
