Job Title: Quality Control Technician (Lab Technician)
Position Summary:
The Quality Control Technician supports the production of safe, high-quality food products by conducting inspections, laboratory testing, and compliance checks. This role plays a key part in maintaining food safety standards and ensuring adherence to USDA, FDA, HACCP, and GMP regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct food safety and quality inspections throughout processing areas.
Perform microbiological testing and maintain accurate lab documentation.
Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, and GMP standards.
Assist with internal audits, validation studies, and regulatory compliance activities.
Manage laboratory supplies and calibrate testing equipment.
Enforce safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (food industry preferred).
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety practices.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing setting requiring physical activity such as standing, lifting, bending, and working in varying temperatures, noise levels, and production environments.
3:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Monday through Friday
Occasional weekends required
Weekend attendance is mandatory when scheduled
