The Del Norte Boys Lacrosse program is dedicated to developing student-athletes not only in their athletic abilities but also in teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. We are looking for passionate and experienced Assistant Coaches to help lead our high-performing team!
Position Overview:
Assistant Coaches will assist in developing training plans, coaching during practices and meets, and promoting a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive swimming, coaching experience, and a commitment to student-athlete development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and refine skills, techniques, and strategies.
- Assist with game preparation, including line-ups, equipment, and team coordination.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and highly competitive team culture.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
- Monitor and promote the academic and personal growth of student-athletes.
- Develop and organize team events, fundraising, and community service initiatives.
- Support compliance with all school, CIF and league policies.
- Assist with program administrative requirements.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of competitive lacrosse techniques, rules, and training methods.
- Prior coaching or competitive experience
- Ability to motivate and inspire high school student-athletes.
- Obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work afternoons and evenings
- Must pass background checks as required by the school district.
