Customers are demanding better service, faster cycle times, more frequent deliveries and closer working relationships. These key attributes are becoming as critical as product performance and brands. This position is responsible for providing their assigned customers with outstanding service in all areas of customer order fulfillment. The incumbent’s goal is to provide Del Monte Foods, Inc. with a competitive advantage within the scope of Vendor Managed Inventory; order completeness, on time delivery, invoice accuracy and all related communications and problem solving in accordance with customer business plans.

 

The salary range for this role is: $42,120 - $67,288.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure all assigned customer orders are shipped and delivered complete and on time with 100% invoice accuracy. This includes:
    • Inventory validation to include working with Supply Chain to ensure adequate supply to customers, identification of root causes for out of stocks and participation in cross-functional problem solving.
    • Pricing validation to include working with assigned customers and sales to ensure all off invoice prices, allowances and miscellaneous charges are confirmed prior to order creation and/or receipt.
    • On Time Delivery to include up front appointment confirmation and working with Transportation to monitor on time delivery performance and related problem solving.
    • Ease of doing business with Del Monte Foods to make order fulfillment a hassle-free experience for assigned customers.
  • Act as the single point of customer, broker and sales contact for all day-to-day order management information and problem solving. This includes being the primary liaison between the customer and Supply Chain, Warehousing, Transportation, and EDI.
  •  
  • Participate in customer annual business planning and event specific planning. Incumbent is expected to have extensive knowledge of customer service level requirements and Del Monte capabilities to proactively prevent failures in inventory availability, order delivery and invoice accuracy.
  • Manage exceptions to established policies and procedures involving special order requests, product returns and shipping locations.
  • Continuously work to find new and innovative ways to make Del Monte Foods Customer Service the industry benchmark in Superior Customer Satisfaction as well as the customer’s scorecard of Del Monte performance.

Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years of experience in the above skills preferably in customer service, purchasing, production/replenishment planning, or sales.
  • HS diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Possess proven multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Highly responsible with a professional attitude and strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to relate to people at all levels both inside and outside the company.

  • Willingness to learn and accept new responsibilities.
  • High level of computer literacy.
