Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to conduct classroom and clinical training for students leading up to certification. This is accomplished through the instruction of students in the classroom, clinical lab and off campus clinical sites.
The instructor must maintain required student records including student attendance, grading, progress, and skills training. The instructor works under the general direction of the program director. The instructor reports to the program director regarding attendance, grading, student progress, clinical site coordination, scheduling national certification examinations, and other pertinent information essential to all training programs.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Level I (EHEALEM10202) – Grade 615: Certifications in related field. Three (3) years related work experience.
Level II (EHEALEM10202) – Grade 615: Licensed in the State of Texas as LVN or RN.

Instruct assigned courses at various times and locations in response to institutional needs. Supervise trainees in healthcare lab skills and clinical settings, when assigned. Utilize a variety of instructional styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.

Instruct classroom training of health care students leading up to certification. Plan instruction according to approved college syllabus to ensure course objectives and learning outcomes are met. Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows guidelines. Instructor facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor.

Coordinate class scheduling, clinical site assignments, assist with inventory for labs and other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager and Assistant Director.
