About us:
Del Corona & Scardigli is an international freight forwarder and logistics provider with a global network of offices. We provide air, ocean and road transport plus customs and logistics solutions. Our Miami office is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Air Export Operations Manager to lead our air export team.
The role
The Air Export Operations Manager runs all day-to-day air export operations at the Miami branch. You will lead the team, keep shipments compliant and on time, manage relationships with airlines and vendors, and help the branch grow profitably.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, train and manage the air export operations team, including scheduling, performance reviews and development.
- Oversee the full air export shipment cycle: booking, documentation, cargo acceptance, screening and tendering to carriers.
- Ensure compliance with TSA, CBP, AES/EEI filing, export control and IATA Dangerous Goods regulations.
- Negotiate with airlines, GSAs, truckers and warehouse partners, and maintain strong relationships with them.
- Monitor KPIs, shipment profitability and service levels, and drive process improvements.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service and overseas network partners to meet customer requirements.
- Resolve operational problems, claims and service failures quickly and professionally.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in air export operations at a freight forwarder, airline or logistics provider.
- Proven managerial experience leading an operations team.
- Strong knowledge of air export documentation (MAWB/HAWB), AES filing and TSA security requirements.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight cut-off times.
- Proficiency with freight forwarding software and MS Office.
Preferred qualifications
- IATA Dangerous Goods certification.
- TSA/CCSF training or Security Coordinator experience.
- Experience with Latin American and European trade lanes.
- Bilingual English/Spanish. Italian is a plus.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
