As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Dekko you are responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials at the best possible prices. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
Location: Dekko HQ, Fort Wayne IN
What you'll do:
- Develop Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet the company’s procurement needs.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage the budget for procurement activities, striving for cost reductions while maintaining quality standards.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and availability of materials.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sourcing activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure alignment on sourcing needs and strategies.
About you:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Bonus if you have experience in: Castings, Extrusions, Wire, Plastics, Circuit Boards, LED’s or Electrical Distribution.
