ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Executive Director of the DeKalb County Visitors Bureau is responsible for leading and managing all operations of the Visitors Bureau. Must always be a Brand Ambassador for DeKalb County. The Executive Director will coordinate efforts to keep stakeholders, hotels, industry partners, and leadership educated in the importance of tourism. Responsible for guiding the Board of Directors, finances, strategic plan, organizational development and staff to success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or the experience equivalent in the tourism industry
- 5 years of proven senior leadership success
- Operational, financial, and staff management expertise
- Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred or the willingness to be trained
- Microsoft Office and spreadsheet management skills for optimum organization
- Manage marketing decisions and strategy to maintain high-level brand awareness
- Can cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders, attractions, and governmental departments.
