What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Support Enforcement Deputy Director position at DeKalb County Government?
Job Duties
Manage child support enforcement cases by using the Indiana State Enforcement Tracking System (ISETS);
Evaluate and work with financial and wage data;
Research and prepare documents for court, wage assignments, and various reports;
Interview and work with custodial parents to initiate and follow up on enforcement actions;
Creatively find parents who are hiding from their responsibility to pay child support;
In Court, testify on child support arrearages and assist the Deputy Prosecutor;
Work with secure tax information;
Prepare and follow up on paternity cases and establishing support
Assist with reports and administrative duties of the office
Any other clerical duties that may be required by the office.
Professionally handle incoming inquiries to the office from the public, and from the parents;
Hourly wage starts at $24 - $28 depending on experience, 35 hours a week.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with an hour lunch but must be flexible to meet the needs of the department.
