HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
As a Delivery Driver under the general supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships as well as other Dejana locations. You will also be responsible for minor truck and trailer maintenance. Deliveries are made within the North East Region of the US. You will be able to accomplish this by:
- Effectively using maps and directions to ensure most economical use of time and equipment.
- Accurately maintaining daily driver log book.
- Performing pre-check and post check inspections of vehicles as minor maintenance.
- Having good communication skills(written and verbal) and the ability to follow instructions.
- Maintaining a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways.
- Properly assessing site locations in advance of truck delivery/pickup to ensure adequate access for safe operations.
- Store parts orders in designated locations.
- Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise and materials.
- Load and unload delivery trucks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Read, pick, and sort parts into specific orders for delivery.
- Perform multiple tasks (e.g., deliveries, picking up stock, stocking inventory, bin location, etc.).
- Performing all responsibilities and duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Familiarity with manual logbooks.
Certifications:
- Valid and clean driver's license.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Most of the time will be spent sitting in the truck on the road.
- Position will need knowledge of major and minor highways as well as federal motor carrier safety regulation and DOT guidelines.
- Position requires good vision.
- Position requires the ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires difficult manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills.
- Position requires the ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
- Position requires the ability to climb on and off equipment
- Position functions year-round outdoors and on the road in a truck.
- Temperatures will vary based on seasonal weather.
- Duties are conducted both on the road and outdoors and require the ability to work safely in changing environmental conditions.
