Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items and beverages with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, sales, and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the café area, including food handling and kitchen safety protocols
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure quick service and customer satisfaction
- Restock supplies, organize food displays, and assist with bussing tables or clearing orders as needed
- Follow food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or a restaurant is a must.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or kitchen work within the food industry is highly desirable
