Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail/Warehouse Working Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within a fast-paced retail and warehouse environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless customer sales and service, inventory control, and team coordination to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in warehouse supervision, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management. Your proactive approach will drive process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a safety-first culture across all activities.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a small warehouse staff, including team members involved in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, inventory management, and distribution activities.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality controls, and company policies.
- Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination with two company trucks that perform local deliveries to ensure timely delivery and pickup schedules.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to continuously improvement operation, reduce waste, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.
- Oversee budgeting activities related to warehouse operations, including cost control for freight, procurement, staffing, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate product demand, scheduling to align inventory levels with sales forecasts while assisting in managing materials procurement effectively
- Ensure maintenance of local delivery trucks and manage fleet operations
- Supervise freight receiving processes ensuring accurate order fulfillment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory control procedures, warehouse distribution activities, and supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive team environment by supervising staff development providing coaching on warehouse supervision best practices, forklift operation certification requirements, and safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision with strong leadership capabilities in managing diverse teams.
- experience with large animal including Equine is a benefit.
- Positive attitude and motivated to get task accomplished as a team.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory control, procurement, demand planning, production planning, and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks is a plus.
- Familiarity with 3PL partnerships and managing third-party logistics providers effectively.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data for demand forecasting and operational decision-making.
- Skilled in using of systems for inventory management and order fulfillment tracking.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
