Founding Registered Nurse (RN) + Growth Lead | Wellness Studio

Degree Wellness Saratoga Springs
Saratoga, UT Full Time
POSTED ON 9/4/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 1/2/2027

Saratoga Springs, Utah | Full-time, schedule-flexible founding leadership role

Reports to: Franchise Owner / Acting Studio Manager

Anticipated start: Late September / early October 2026

Target studio opening: February or March 2027

Build the business before the doors open.

Degree Wellness Saratoga Springs is looking for a rare kind of founding leader: a registered nurse who is equally energized by clinical excellence, relationship-based selling, community building, and business growth.

If you love being a nurse but do not see yourself spending the next 5-10 years in traditional hospital or bedside nursing, this role offers a different path. You can continue using your RN expertise and caring for people while building experience in wellness, sales, business development, team leadership, and studio operations.

This is not a traditional nursing role with sales added on the side. You will help build the studio's recurring membership base before opening, own the day-to-day commercial engine after opening, and serve as the functional leader for the nursing team. You will work directly with the Franchise Owner, who will serve as Acting Studio Manager during the initial operating stage.

For someone interested in expanding what an RN career can look like, this is an opportunity to use your clinical foundation as a springboard into broader business leadership.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will join Degree Wellness before the studio opens and help turn local awareness into a durable member community. The primary pre-opening commercial planning target is 200 activated Founding Members at opening.

Your commercial mandate spans the full member lifecycle: Acquire -> Convert -> Activate -> Retain -> Expand -> Refer.

You will personally prospect, sell, follow up, build partnerships, work events, and close memberships. You will also use your clinical credibility to educate members appropriately about IV services, strengthen trust, and lead the nursing team with high standards.

The hybrid model only works if both sides of the role are strong. We are not looking for an excellent RN who is uncomfortable selling, and we are not looking for a strong seller who treats clinical responsibility as secondary.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Membership Growth & Revenue

  • Personally prospect, sell, and create opportunities rather than waiting only for inbound leads.
  • Own lead response, follow-up, CRM discipline, pipeline quality, and next-step accountability.
  • Conduct consultative membership conversations, tours, follow-up, and closing.
  • Build community, corporate, referral, and local-business partnerships.
  • Represent Degree Wellness at community, Chamber, corporate, wellness, and partner events.
  • Lead Founding Member acquisition before opening and ongoing membership growth after opening.
  • Build disciplined retention, referral, upgrade, and reactivation rhythms.
  • Track commercial performance, identify conversion or retention gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Use approved automation, analytics, and AI to improve prioritization, follow-up, forecasting, coaching, and member re-engagement.

Nursing & IV Leadership

  • Serve regular nursing and IV shifts based on the final clinical-service plan.
  • Educate members about IV services within your license, training, approved protocols, and appropriate clinical boundaries.
  • Protect patient safety and clinical judgment. Commercial goals never override clinical decisions.
  • Maintain IV and nursing supplies, inventory discipline, and equipment readiness.
  • Coordinate nursing schedules within the Owner-approved labor plan and partner with the applicable provider structure on clinical readiness and escalation.
  • Lead nursing onboarding, mentoring, workflow education, coaching, discipline, and day-to-day accountability.
  • Assess nursing candidates and recommend nursing hires to the Owner.
  • Address nurse performance, conduct, reliability, or fit concerns through appropriate coaching and discipline, escalating serious, repeated, high-risk, or potentially terminating matters to the Owner and recommending termination when warranted. Final termination authority remains with the Owner.

Team Commercial Leadership

  • Lead sales huddles and reinforce clear commercial expectations.
  • Train and mentor Member Experience, Wellness, and nursing employees on approved sales behaviors, lead capture, referrals, member conversations, retention signals, and CRM discipline.
  • Coach without becoming the formal manager of non-nursing employees during the initial operating stage, escalating performance concerns to the Owner when needed.

BEFORE WE OPEN

Your work will be heavily commercial and community-facing. You will build and work the Founding Member pipeline, conduct direct outreach and closing conversations, build referral and corporate partnerships, represent the studio at local events, and maintain progress against the 200 activated-member planning target. You will also help build repeatable sales, follow-up, referral, retention, nursing-readiness, and opening workflows.

AFTER WE OPEN

Your role remains first and foremost a growth leadership role with meaningful clinical responsibility. We will intentionally protect time for membership growth, retention, partnerships, pipeline development, coaching, and business development so the role does not become the default solution for every nursing coverage gap.

You will continue personal selling and external business development while leading planned IV service blocks and the nursing function. As the studio grows, additional nursing coverage will be added when needed.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • A strong Founding Member base and healthy pipeline entering opening week.
  • Consistent lead response, follow-up, CRM hygiene, pipeline visibility, and forecasting.
  • Ongoing new-member acquisition aligned with the studio's profitability plan.
  • Retention is treated as a co-equal priority with acquisition, with disciplined save, engagement, referral, and reactivation activity.
  • Members receiving credible, appropriate clinical education without pressure or boundary crossing.
  • A reliable, well-coached nursing team with strong operational readiness.
  • A broader studio team that becomes stronger at appropriate sales and retention behaviors because of your coaching.
  • Increasing readiness to assume broader studio leadership as your capability and the business economics support it.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • Active RN license in good standing that permits practice in Utah.
  • 3 years of post-licensure RN experience in a patient-facing clinical environment.
  • 2 years of hands-on IV, infusion, venipuncture, or closely related experience with demonstrated competency appropriate to the services to be performed, plus any additional Degree Wellness, provider, legal, or clinical requirements.
  • 3 years of experience with direct responsibility for sales, membership growth, business development, revenue generation, or another measurable commercial outcome. This experience may have been part of a clinical, wellness, med spa, aesthetics, healthcare, retail, or other consumer-facing role.
  • A measurable record of commercial performance. Be prepared to discuss goals, targets, revenue or membership results, conversion performance, pipeline activity, and the actions you personally drove. Clinical credibility alone is not sufficient.
  • 2 years building pipeline or generating demand through outbound outreach, repeated follow-up, community activation, partnerships, referrals, networking, or other proactive channels rather than relying primarily on inbound leads.
  • 2 years leading, precepting, training, scheduling, coaching, or holding nurses or clinical employees accountable, with enough judgment to address missed commitments and routine performance issues directly.
  • Strong consultative selling, education, relationship-building, objection handling, and closing capability, with confidence asking for commitment when appropriate.
  • Hands-on experience using a CRM, pipeline, or structured follow-up system and comfort being personally accountable for next steps, forecasting, and conversion activity.
  • Proven ability to operate independently with limited day-to-day direction, identify commercial or clinical-operational gaps, bring recommendations, and take ownership for solving problems.
  • Ability to communicate clinical information clearly and credibly without exceeding professional scope, and the judgment to keep patient safety and clinical decision-making separate from commercial goals.
  • Comfort operating in a startup-like environment where the expectation is to help build the system, not wait for the Owner to hand you every process or answer.

Preferred

  • 2 years in wellness, med spa, aesthetics, IV therapy, infusion, fitness, membership-based healthcare, or another consumer wellness environment.
  • Experience selling memberships, subscriptions, packages, or repeat-use services where retention and long-term relationship value matter.
  • Experience leading a nursing or clinical team beyond informal peer support, including staffing coordination, onboarding, coaching, performance accountability, or workflow ownership.
  • Experience building community, corporate, referral, or local-business partnerships that produced measurable pipeline, utilization, or revenue.
  • Experience opening or scaling a new location, territory, practice, service line, or clinical offering.
  • Experience using analytics, automation, or AI-supported workflows to improve follow-up, prioritization, forecasting, coaching, segmentation, or member engagement.
  • Established professional or community relationships in or near Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, or the surrounding Utah County market.

WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE

The strongest candidate brings commercial drive, consultative selling skill, clinical credibility, ownership mentality, disciplined follow-through, coaching capability, learning agility, and the confidence to create opportunities rather than wait for them. You should be comfortable using data, technology, automation, and AI, partnering closely with an owner, and growing into broader people, operational, and financial leadership over time.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, on-site role, but it does not require a traditional five-day schedule. Four longer days, five standard days, or another full-time pattern may work if the schedule protects the revenue mandate, nursing leadership, clinical coverage, and event needs.

Pre-opening work will be heavily community- and event-oriented and may occasionally require evenings or weekends. Work location will be dependent on events and partnerships located in or near Saratoga Springs, Utah.

Post-opening scheduling will primarily be on-site with some occasional off-site marketing events. Additionally, scheduling will deliberately protect commercial work efforts from being consumed by clinical coverage.

COMPENSATION

  • Base salary: $50,000-$65,000, depending on directly relevant RN, IV/infusion, clinical leadership, commercial, and launch experience.
  • Target variable compensation opportunity: approximately $20,000-$40,000 annually at target performance after opening.
  • Target annual cash compensation opportunity: approximately $70,000-$105,000.
  • Actual incentive earnings will vary based on activated and retained membership growth, revenue quality, studio performance, and the final incentive-plan terms.
  • There will be no per-IV or per-treatment commission structure that could create inappropriate clinical pressure. Clinical judgment and patient safety always take priority over commercial goals.

  • Time Off
  • 401(k)

YOUR GROWTH PATH

This is a founding role with room to grow, not a promise of an automatic promotion.

The intended development path, if desired, is:

Founding Nurse & Membership Growth Lead -> Studio Manager-in-Development -> Studio Manager -> Potential Multi-Unit Leadership

Progression depends on demonstrated commercial performance, operational judgment, people leadership, financial understanding, leadership readiness, and the studio's ability to support additional management payroll sustainably.
