Responsibilities
- Coordinate food expediting by communicating clearly with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including plating and garnishing dishes to meet presentation standards
- Support food safety and handling protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Manage the flow of orders through POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen team members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to enhance guest satisfaction
- Support banquet or special event setups by organizing food stations and ensuring smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; culinary or hotel experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, safety standards, and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple orders and tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with POS systems and numeracy skills for order processing and billing accuracy
- Experience with food expediting, banquet service, or hospitality roles is advantageous
