DeForest Area School District is located just ten miles northeast of Madison in Dane County. We offer outstanding facilities and a competitive salary and benefits. We have Food Service Assistant positions available at DeForest Area High school from 7:45 am - 1:30 pm or 9:30 am - 1:30 pm.
Duties include to set up food counter and serve meals to students; monitor food storage and food preparation; clean and sanitize preparation, storage and servings areas and equipment; wash equipment; receive food items and assist in shelving food items in storage areas.
Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Serve Safe certification preferred. Requires ability to follow equipment guidelines, instructions, and health and safety guidelines. Must possess ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying. Food safety certification/training and previous food service experience desired.
